Gus McGrim’s cow, Bessie, is refusing to enter the Happy Cow competition. She’s playing a sad sax in the barn next to where Frank the Bull works out with his weights. Jack plans to cheer her up with a red nose but the Moose arrives and eats it. He suggests they swop Bessie’s sax for some happier instruments.
