Smart Babies offers toddlers and preschoolers an introduction to the English alphabet. A wide variety of attractive and brightly colored animated characters present each letter – what it looks like and what it sounds like – followed by a range of words that begin with that letter.  Moderately paced, with a good deal of repetition, this series offers young viewers an excellent way to learn and practice their ABCs. 

• Watch this show with your child and talk about what you have seen. 

• Obtain one of the many sets of magnetic letters available and put them on your refrigerator door;  challenge your child to pick out whatever letter you name. 

• Circle letters in a magazine or newspaper and ask your child to identify them. 

• Ask your child to name as many words as possible starting with each letter.
